The other day I was sitting on someones bench, resting my knees. I heard some rustling and two fat hedgehogs were going under the bench. Are they prone to melanism? I think that's the point being made. I didn't get around to reading the article but I've heard melanism occurs in plants and some other life around Chernobyl.
