I'm cynical but not that cynical.
I don't believe a yacht should be worth 8 billion dollars (the most expensive one is, you can look it up, and it is plated with gold, literally.)
I don't believe in silicon breasts.

also couldn't wealthy individuals trade in one of their 8 billion dollar yachts to form a corporation to fund a search for cheaper technologies to implement this?
Agreed that governments would not be interested necessarily. |

And even if it were defended with an army of drones and robots, it could be vulnerable due to the insane competitive nature of the human species.

I was imagining there were spaceships travelling to and from earth with supplies.
it would be for a long period, of x months. again it would have to return for fuel and basic supplies.
But I'm too stupid to figure out which supplies (; |
