The reason why I ask is because I'm writing a book with the central character being autistic (HFA) and so far he is almost math illiterate, more artistic but interested in science but struggles to understand science because of the math problems. Most of his personality comes from me and one thing I...

The whole pdf was very much longer than the single image displayed in most of these posts but I think I would break the forum if I posted it so I will bow to aspie convention and simply post what others have done...(Okay, I lied lol) Had no idea where the traps came from, though I have been out in t...

The berries are fair game as that is how a tree propagates, but if you pull off all the bark it will die, I forget the technical terms but all its ability to live is in that tiny strip of matter maybe only a couple of millimetres thick and all the rest of the wood underneath is basically dead, do yo...

It will more than likely end in death for me, but I still hold out hope that my consciousness will be able to be transferred to a robot wolf and be accompanied throughout eternity by a biologically enhanced flying dogopus.

I categorically CAN NOT dance, I have never been able to find any sense of rhythm and when I do try I end up doing ancient dancing that is so completely wrong to make even those people who would normally be considered odd look at me with something approaching pity lol

This is a new one to me Joe, but why don't you donate that television to someone who cannot afford one, or to a homeless shelter where it will feel loved? :)

I am probably being particularly thick at this point, but why don't you simply explain you have a condition that makes you forget faces in short-term and long term memory and that while you really do try to remember faces you struggle constantly with it? I have trouble with peoples faces and names s...

I self-diagnosed myself and I am making it official soon, I have no problem with people diagnosing themselves since everyone does it with flu or whatever all the time and no one ridicules them, with the possible exception of man-flu of course lol What annoys me more than anything else though is that...

I think it is important to note that no sitcom would ever be funny without someone who is not borderline psychotic, or basically a sociopath.

You have Barney Stinson in HIMYM and Chandler in Friends, why not have a super nerd who has AS qualities?

Basically it was something to do with bei...

Always and forever a simple, "good morning, how are you?" is good enough from there. just your normality of politeness. Though as a female aspie, i despise when people run up to me all hyped and bounce and say hey etc. but as an aussie usually i get greeted by my mates n i greet mine with the good ...
