The railroads brought in Chinese immigrants to blast tunnels through mountains.
Nobody else would do that that sort of work!

If he really is an Aspie you need to make your move first. Amy and Sheldon on Big Bang Theory is a good example. Amy has to work really hard to move the relationship along. She thinks that Sheldon is a really good catch and worth the effort that it takes to slowly one step at a time. Aspies may not ...

I'm learning mower maintenance as well as growing grass! I've just replaced the air filter on my lawn mower and ordered a new high lift blade. It will need to be sharpened. But, I can swap blades and sharpen the one outside the mower at my convenience, perhaps on a rainy day! I'm also learning how t...

I heard of someone getting a bilateral orchi by complaining about pain in their testicles. They have no way of knowing if you are lying about pain or not. Then you need HRT. If you are/were in the military and get VA benefits they will cover everything up to surgery. It is possible that surgery will...

I thought it was a sign of autism that I have no trouble being alone. When everyone was shut in due to the Pandemic one neighbor said she was relieved to see me again as she hadn't seen me in months! I record my outings on the refrigerator calendar to remind me when I last left the house. If it went...

I've always been worried about some ripping off my tricycle when it was left outside somewhere.
It is now stored in the basement.

Aren't there a lot of places that can now make custom tailored clothes that you can order online that aren't super expensive? When I presented as a guy I couldn't find any clothes that fit. I looked terrible in boy's clothing. Now that I switched to presenting female I can can pick any style I want,...

I remember someone here who got a job prepping cars for painting. Not the actual painting. Just the prep work! That way he didn't need to deal with customers! The paint guy worked with customers. Prep work really important. Unless it is done right the paint job will look bad. There are back room job...

There is some age discrimination, as older workers typically have higher Health Insurance costs.
They have more expensive screenings like colonoscopies.
But, you really shouldn't worry about stuff like that. Just go for it!

It can be very helpful to separate sexuality from gender. Far too many people conflate or confuse themselves by assuming there is some link between the two! We we are talking about just one person, it makes little sense to delve into satistical data like 10% of the population being gay. Or X number ...

I just realized that this movie may be great inspiration for Aspies looking for work! It is about a bunch of misfits who are thrown together and competing against other teams to win Google jobs. Yes, I often go a too far in making statements. But, watch that short movie ...

I've also done the party trick of looking around a hectic crowd of people and making eye contact with a guy who invited me to eat with him at his table. Another example of socializing at a very high level. That is something autistics find impossible. Pairing off or forming small groups out a big one...

Mysogny runs rampant when dissing successful females. The best example is TaylorSwift. She has been around for a Generation! Her fans bring their kids! So they put her down as too old! She just made a billion dollars! Clearly she is not too old for her fans. She just came to Europe and set more reco...

Why not write as a hobby? You may find that if you have to write every day, you won't like it. A lot of people have boring day jobs to support a hobby. Sorry to give you the bad news, but writing articles, books, and being a journalist is a job folks used to do. I played golf with someone who used t...

Where I used to work before I retired we had some jobs that could be great for someone on the specturm. I offered to manage such a person, being in a "senior" position. No way was the response from my boss. We had several gays and lesbian managers. There was a dinner table where they would...
