Nope. Most of my interests were either just full-on sugar for my neurotype (hugely true with music and art), for things like martial arts, cigars, hiking, and that sort of thing that was more derivative but I saw angles within them that scratched the same itch (for example - really good, complex cig... |

Did anyone in the eastern part of the US get to see the eclipse? We were just lucky, ie. directly under the path of it, so we didn't need to drive anywhere to get the full effect. The only downer - there was a small cloud over the sun where I was at so I missed what I was most excited to see which w... |

He's someone I appreciate from time to time in doses, and it's clear that he's dripping talent almost without effort it's just that a lot of it tends to be (for me at least) a bit more chaotic than musical. My first brush with him was Come To Daddy and I grabbed that EP. My friends and I also had so... |

What Gemini said about neurotypicals is something I already figured it out by the time I was a teenager. Only that I had zero practice and not knowing certain words. You'll have to say more if you're comfortable about how that knowledge effected your relationship to your peers. I personally could n... |

I don't think 'hide' is the right word, it's more like I know that most people are quite uncomfortable talking about things they don't know or understand (they can often interpret that as an attack on their relative status to you) and the conflict of trying to talk about things, people, ideas that o... |

This is depressing. It's the first time I heard Dr. K say something profound and everyone's mad at him for saying the quiet part out loud.

The real and grim of it? It's a loss of contact with reality that reason and facts can't fix. I'd assume in most cases it's genetic, neurochemical, some of it could be trauma responses so dense that they drown out normal functioning. Roughly speaking if you're 'insane' you're too far gone to be held... |
