Sounds like your step-mom was gaslighting you. I believe most of these disorders are result of childhood traumatic events anyway. Emotional manipulations. Emotional sensitivities. What you describe sounds like your brains defense mechanism. Just try to separate your self from such toxic triggers.

From a few studies i glanced at, Bipolar, Schiziohrenia, ASD, anorexia, are all same brain type, according to brain scan scientists, but their manifestations are due to different development pathways. Somewhat like branches of the same tree.

Yeah, that psychiatrists bible might be a misdiagnosis. It might be extra dimensional entities aka demons, like christian bible says. Hey, you can never rule it out right? Always get a second opinion.
