A similar stunt at a firing range, perhaps? I know that's one thing you take seriously, Dox. What would be a similar stunt at a firing range? Taking a bath in the solvent tank? That would suck all of the moisture out of your body, and wouldn't feel too good... The reason I'm not taking this serious...

This isn't as strange an idea as it initially sounds. The kid that shot up his high school in Pearl Mississippi was stopped by the school's principal, who ran to his truck that was parked off of school grounds to retrieve his handgun. This fact was almost completely ignored by the mainstream media, ...

What if it had been your sink? Your restaurant? I work in a restaurant, I've done/seen far worse. I might have capitalized on the free publicity by putting the kid in an online viral marketing campaign, I mean this made the NATIONAL news and cost no money, why not cash in? That's all beside the poi...

I'd have fired the idjitt, then then person holding the camera, then the supervisor that let them both get away with it, and then everyone who knew about it before or during the event and did not report it or try to stop it. Then I'd have called my lawyer and sued each one of them for damages and l...

I'd have to agree on th Mac people, I've yet to see any PC user with the sort of fervent fanaticism that evangelical Mac devotees so commonly display. PC people may get defensive when confronted by a dedicated Mac-head, but seldom try to actively convert other OS users to PC usage. I'd say the Mac ...

I saw a documentary where this convicts said he could kill someone with a rolled up newspaper. The size of him, I believed. Hell, I could kill with a rolled up newspaper, it's an old trick, though IMHO a magazine works better. The trick is to roll it up really tightly, starting from the bound edge....

There are a series of cook books out there called The Best Recipe , I've found them to be invaluable in teaching myself to cook. Not only are the recipes fantastic tasting, they describe in great detail the testing process that led them to perfect the recipe, and tell you all the mistakes they made ...

As a longtime restaurant worker, I can tell you that taking a bath in a sink is definitely pretty low on the Disgustometer, as far as what really goes on in commercial kitchens. Lack of hand washing is the tip of the iceberg, I worked at a place for a few years that was run by cheapskate Arabs, they...

X2 Take the profit out of it and the symbiotic crime will disappear as well. Unfortunately that would shrink several someones' bureaucratic empire, so it will never happen.

I heard that the guy got fired for it but he just taking a bath. I guess since it was the kitchen sink after all. Not only did he get fired, but they also terminated the cameraman and the shift manager who was working that night. Seems kind of harsh to me, especially if he was in a sanitizer statio...

Lol, this happened to my mom years ago, boy was she pissed! Would have been about 1988 or so, the thought of filing a lawsuit never occurred to her, even though it seems pretty obvious in retrospect. Apparently, after she figured out what was going on she asked if the guy was going to write her a ti...

I actually cook quite often, it's probably my second favorite hobby. As an aspie with taste and texture issues, it just got easier to make my own food than to be constantly disappointed with what is commercially available, and I actually like doing it. Most cooking is just effectively following dire...

I'm definitely in the cycle hating camp, Seattle is very bike friendly, and these guys are a menace on all the city streets. On my way into work today there was a cyclist on highway 99 causing traffic to swerve around him in an alarming manner. There was no reason for him to be on the highway, there...

Deadly weapons as recreational equipment? I'l leave it at that, but only because I don't care for further argument. The Olympics include 10 shooting events (various rifle, pistol and shot-gun competitions), and the pentathalon includes a pistol event. And then there is archery, which is quieter ......
