Lol, this happened to my mom years ago, boy was she pissed! Would have been about 1988 or so, the thought of filing a lawsuit never occurred to her, even though it seems pretty obvious in retrospect. Apparently, after she figured out what was going on she asked if the guy was going to write her a ti...

I actually cook quite often, it's probably my second favorite hobby. As an aspie with taste and texture issues, it just got easier to make my own food than to be constantly disappointed with what is commercially available, and I actually like doing it. Most cooking is just effectively following dire...

I'm definitely in the cycle hating camp, Seattle is very bike friendly, and these guys are a menace on all the city streets. On my way into work today there was a cyclist on highway 99 causing traffic to swerve around him in an alarming manner. There was no reason for him to be on the highway, there...

Deadly weapons as recreational equipment? I'l leave it at that, but only because I don't care for further argument. The Olympics include 10 shooting events (various rifle, pistol and shot-gun competitions), and the pentathalon includes a pistol event. And then there is archery, which is quieter ......

I don't know if you're aware of this, but Tom Morello has not ceased his pursuits of political issues on or off the stage since Rage broke up. In addition to the now-defunct Audioslave, he's also a co-founding member (with Serj Tankian of System Of A Down) of the non-profit political activist group...

Given the unlikely nature of a zombie-attack, what real use do you have for a full auto weapon other than impressing your friends? Did you even bother to fully read my post?... ...Incidentally, I do have a semi-auto AK in my safe next to the 12 gauge, but that's in case the zombies invade......

Private citizens do not need automatic weapons. Are AK-47s even practical for self-defence? I mean, really. Who said anything about need ? Did you even bother to fully read my post, or did you miss the part about there only having been 1 murder ever committed in the US with a legally owned Class 3 ...

What bothers me more is when moderators get involved in a debate as a participant and then try to fulfill their moderating duties on that thread, when there exists a clear conflict of interest. I think if they want to be involved as a participant, they should have to waive their mod status for that...

What is the NRA stand on private citizens owning automatic assault rifles? There are not the type of weapons that people use to hunt with or for target shooting. I'm not sure of the NRA's position on automatic weapons, but I'm sure they oppose further restrictions on them. If your state will allow ...

Yep. All us NRA members. The violent knuckle dragging, knee walking stupid apes. Yeah. If you knew anything about the NRA and the values they uphold....

NRA values are not hard to surmise, really.

What would you surmise are the NRA's values?

Mind you, I like their beats, I like the way they do music, I like the emotional energy, the message of the lyrics is just putrid unreality though. That's exactly how I've always felt about them, I think the rest of them finally got wise and tossed Zach de la Rocha so they could form Audioslave. I ...

Last I heard the guy targeted the church because he felt it was full of "liberals", and bore some sort of grudge against same. Personally, I find cold hard logic to be the better solution to liberalism, hot lead is sort of like sandblasting a soup cracker.

No, I meant you forgot Rule Three 1. All guns are always loaded 2. Never point a gun at anything you do not wish to destroy 3. Keep your finger off the trigger (out of the Triggerguard) until your sights are on target (you are ready to shoot). 4. Be sure of your target and what is beyond it. *Shrug...
