Let me start this by saying I’m not trying to replace Wrong Planet ^^ I was wondering if anyone knew of a good anime forum for me to join. Someone suggested that I join one, but being like most people here, I’d prefer something that didn’t have too much fighting and confrontation. Thanks so much!

I'm considering acupuncture as a treatment for my depression, and was wondering if anyone else has tried it. Any pros or cons that anyone might have?

Thanks!

I have always been curious as to the effects of artificial lighting on health, especially mental, and have commented on it here before. I was wondering how many people here are familiar with LED replacement light bulbs, and what they can do to one's mental health.

Thanks so much!

If its okay, I'd like to talk about my next worry. I'm too worried to touch a lot of things these days, for fear of breaking them, hence kind of where the jewel case thing came from. The same goes for instruments, and in fact, two of mine are kind of damaged. My clarinet I couldn't play if I wanted....

Thank you all for being so understanding. I can tell this worry seems strange to some of you. Any advice on how to stop it? It really effects me, to the point where I'm taking them out constantly to dust, and see if any require replacement, and clean and wash them.

Thank you very much. If no one minds, I would like to ask a question in the beginning. I store some CDs in CD case slots on my desk, which usually scratches the back of the jewlcase. Is this alright? I also have some sticker residue left on a few that even goof-off and that kind of stuff wouldn't ge...

I have quite a few things I worry about constantly, so I am always posting to The Haven. However, one of the things I always feel bad about is creating too many threads. Would it seem arrogant if I kind of used this as my ‘worry thread?’ Or is that inappropriate?

Thank you!

I ended up deciding against them. Movie CDs are different than VCDs though, as I’ve found. VCD you can usually still make with a burner anyways, I believe. I’ve read about too many problems involving Movie CD, though it really did seem to be a novel concept that I wish would have worked with a moder...

May I most politely ask why?

By the way, would it be possible in any fashion to switch to a proboards model? Where the forum is a free, out of the box type of hosting? Or does WrongPlanet's amount of bandwidth used far exceed the limits to proboards?

I had never heard of this format until today, but is anyone familiar with Movie CD? I heard that the codecs don't work properly, from some sources, and that they in fact can cause problems with the running of regular video codecs on one's computer. On the other hand, I've read that a simple patch ca...

Please don't get mad at me for bringing this up, but I was thinking again that maybe you could cut costs by lowering bandwidth with an active program of archiving old threads or outright deleting them. Outright deleting large portions of the forum may seem draconian, but it may be better than having...

I used to take outrageous amounts of time to manually delete keys from the registry. I guess its probably just a neurotic obsession with me.

Actually, to be totally honest, security isn't a concern at all. I just delete all the old keys from uninstalled programs out of habit I suppose. Is it unnecessary in your opinion?

Ah, I didn't buy it either (Though I would never obtain a font illegally)

Fonts are very expensive, so I've learned to be content with what I have

If anyone uses one, can anyone suggest a good (preferably freeware) registry cleaner for Windows XP? I'm so used to doing it by hand, but if anyone has any advice on how to automate the task, I'd be really interested. Thanks!

I remember some hobbyists released a couple of versions of Chicago for TrueType, but I'm pretty sure you can't use that commercially...and they really just don't look as good. I have an old Mac that I'll often use Chicago as a screen font for. I wish there was a release of all the old city fonts by ...
