I wish I could make an identical clone of myself and lead two very different lives. Granted. Not only does your clone lead a better life (more girlfriends ... prettier girlfriends, nicer house, better car, finer food, et cetera), but you end up paying all the bills for both of you! I wish that I co...

I would have been worse if the fur had not been scraped off. The meat of red-furred dogs is considered an aphrodisiac in many eastern cultures.

George Orwell's diaries will be published online starting august 9th; each day will be published like a blog, exactly 70 years from the day that he wrote them. He apparently kept a diary from 1938 to 1942, so we have about 4 years of postings to look forward to. http://www.utne.com/2008-07-31/Great...

... what you want is a nurturing, caring relationship with someone who values you ... Figure out what you'd want your mate to be and become the person he or she would like to be with ... Recognize that you don't want to suffer the pain of loneliness and being single, let go of it ... you have a cho...

I know nothing about Unions. That is what you made it sound like. Then I suggest you find out for youself. Look at the history of the United Auto Workers and the current state of the American automobile industry. Look at the history of the Garment Workers' Unions and the current state of the Americ...

Thank you, Monty. I wished I'd thought of looking that up, myself. Getting the facts always helps, and it's always worth the effort. Bravo! Why is it that the words "Have Faith" are usually spoken by people who don't want you to make your own informed decisions? Why is it that the words "Keep an Op...

So Unions are a small step below Communism? Just because the union leaders dictate that its members should work "each according to their skill" and give to "each according to their need" while all being rewarded equally under an economy of entitlements? Golly, how could anyone even think that union...

Actually, it seems the Christians are allowed to judge the sinful behavior of others, but only if they're willing to be judged by the same standards for their own sinful behavior , or if they repent of their own sinful behavior (Note 1). They are also allowed to comdemn others to death, but only if ...

It is highly obvious you have a major beef with the unions. I have to ask why a skilled craftsperson should not be paid for their services any differently than say your therapist or hair cutter? I have an issue with unions - especially the ones that I used to belong to - because they dictate that a...

I think the fact that you wrote '-Voltaire' immediately afterward gave that away. And the fact that you quoted it in French was a ridiculously pretentious move on your part that only emphasises the impression people are getting from this thread - that you re on a high horse and feel your opinions a...
