If you think about it logically, ultimately nothing has an inherent point, purpose or meaning. Purpose and meaning only exist in our heads; they are abstract concepts imposed on objects by sentient beings. Therefore, the meaning of life is whatever you make it.

I wouldn't date a woman who I wasn't physically attracted to (how is it even possible to have a romantic relationship with someone you aren't attracted to?). I would just be friends with her, assuming I liked her a s a person.

I would never, ever take a polygraph test under any circumstances, because they are complete BS. It just measures your physiological state, and then leaves you completely at the mercy of the interpreter. Knowing me, just the thought of the polygraph falsely detecting a lie during an important questi...

3D World looks really fun, and I like the music. Zelda: ALBW looks great, too. The ability to buy any item and tackle the dungeons in any order sounds pretty awesome. I like it when games give you a lot of freedom, and that's the one thing that I miss from the classic Zelda's in the newer ones. Now ...

I think we can all agree that women are hardly oppressed in the US and most of the developed world today (and I think few feminists would try to argue they are). That doesn't mean that there isn't still some progress to be made for women's rights. More than 6000 men die every year at work, which is ...

No. I have AS, and I enjoy talking to people with all sorts of different interests, as long as they're friendly. I'd also be happy to be friends with someone who doesn't share my special interests, as long as we have something in common that we can have fun doing. But some Autistics might simply not...

But it seems that to NTs the eyes themselves convey meaning, that is, they are able to "read" the actual eyes, not the surrounding areas. That's why they say they see into someone's soul by looking into their eyes. They seem able to establish "connection" with each other by looking into each others...

I don't really care what horrible drugs people use to destroy their bodies, as long as they are 18 or older, have been educated of the consequences, and have to pay a suitable premium for health insurance.

Under the ACA a morbidly obese drug addict who visits the hospital every week cannot be charged higher premiums than a healthy person. Healthy people will thus be forced to subsidize care for the sick. Naturally those who expect to "take" more than they "give" will approve of this. A plan which rob...

This kid sounds a lot like me, and also sounds very much like he has Autism. To me, it seems like the guy who wrote this article really doesn't understand the Autism spectrum, and doesn't understand the fact that people with Autism can be very charming, imaginative, and eager to engage with others o...

That sounds pretty asexual to me. There are many variations on the theme, anyway--people who masturbate and people who don't; people who want romance, cuddling, and kissing versus people who don't. Some of us find others beautiful and even get crushes. Some of us want to get married. The only thing...

I have the same thing going on right now. My best (only) friend never really bothers to contact me. I'm always the one who initiates everything, even though I don't do it all that often. But he has AS too, so I know how that goes.
