I have IBS and malnutrition in general which is absolutely just awful. I feel tired and weak without...

If I were pregnant and the child had anencephaly, I think I'd do the same this mom did--carry the baby to term, spend as much time with the child as I could, even if it was only minutes or hours. It seems cruel to deprive a child with such a severe disability of the short lifetime that the child co...

I have never been made to feel unwelcome here because I am not diagnosed with an ASD, in fact I'm not even self diagnosed, I'm an NT - one would think I'd have gotten bullied myself, I suppose I'll make a thread about NT's being here, since I doubt most people who read my posts know I'm an NT. I am...

If you don't have strange thoughts or speech problems like word salads when your doing it, it could be a type of stim your used to. Instead of shouting or hissing, why not try a different stim like playing with an object in your hands or wiggling your toes. I did find I have some flexibility to chan...

I use 5-Hydroxytryptophan 5-HTP for my depression. For my ADHD symptoms I sometimes resort to energy drinks and coffee. I'm still having trouble getting the right med/combination prescribed. So far it's been an awful nightmare. Self medicating is my only option at the moment because I'm on a waiting...

I suppose the reason there's been no serious look into this possibility is because everything is attributed to his schizophrenia. And diagnosing him now when he's so old with ASD would seem pointless. I don't even think he'd care if he had a DX either. Only Aspies and other curious people would be ...

John Nash was diagnosed schizophrenic but later it was suggested he might have Aspergers. His obsession with looking through those magazine articles and finding patterns was a hell of an intense special interest, that started with extreme logic and traveled well beyond it. Was he diagnosed with it?...

Did you ever consider that the people who voted "no" weren't saying they didn't welcome self-diagnosed people; just that they didn't feel they were welcomed? So in other words, they meant they felt they were shunned rather than they were the ones doing the shunning? I, too, have read through the en...

Some people do it for fun too, I'm a cosplayer and I've cross dressed because I felt inspired like I could still relate to the character I dressed as psychologically, mainly because it was fun too. I'm psychologically a little more male but in general very ambiguous, I'm physiology female so I don't...

Have you ever been invited out to coffee or drinks? Only to watch the person who invited you and said they missed you to be talking to someone else the entire time your with them. I think you're missing my point entirely. I'm not missing the point; I just do not see it as a problem. When my "date" ...

Does anybody find when you're on a low you feel this really severe loneliness (moreso than normal) like you're in pieces and emotionally falling apart at the seams and the only way you can manage is if you can find somebody who can hold you together? Like almost in a literal sense, like somebody wh...
