My friend always takes my hat and puts it on over their hat during breaks to tease me, and I've forgotten my hat two times so far when going back to work. Today it took a lot longer for me to realize it and my friend was laughing so hard when I came to get it back. lmao

I have the same exact issue with getting my hands wet. I actually don't mind getting them wet, but I hate how dry they feel after I dry them off. It's like I have to use an exorbitant amount of lotion to get it to go away, so I avoid getting my hands wet. I honestly just have to power through it and...

I'm really hungry, but the idea of eating also makes me feel really sick.

I don't talk much to anyone besides for my aunt and my friend, because other people don't always understand me and I have anxiety about speaking due to it. Everyone else I only really can manage short responses, if I can get any out at all. I also can relate to being rendered mute around some people...

My doctor thankfully doesn't treat me like that because he's known me since I was a baby, and knows about my issues with language and processing. I don't like having to go to other doctors though since they don't know me or the fact that I have autism + other delays, and treat me really weird (like ...

I don't get why they pretend there's no cure for cancer, when it likely exists. Cancer is a multi-billion dollar industry. Too many people would be out of work if they admitted they know a cure. Instead they'll fundraise millions of dollars a year, and make themselves rich. The cancer society treat...

I want to figure out something that my friend might want to do outside of work. So far we haven't had a chance to properly hang out outside of work. I don't really know what people our age want to do though.

My daughter sorted out her shoes and boots. She had 41 pairs (82 total). She only got rid of 6 pair. Frown. So much for making space. How does she have so many shoes? Does she wear them all? 8O I only have three pairs, and I only have three because two of them are rubber boots and slippers. The las...

I did speech therapy at school starting about age 6 or 7, for mutism and later for pronunciation. People always made fun of my accent or couldn't understand me. I've had adult Speech-Language Pathologists in the past few years as well. I had speech therapy for a couple years after I started special...

Sometimes I want to hug my friend but I don't know if they're comfortable with that, and I feel even more awkward about outright asking them if they are or not. lol

I think I started talking on time, or even a bit early, but I don't think I talked a lot. People didn't understand what I was saying 90% of the time until I went to speech therapy, so I remember not bothering to talk sometimes. I also don't think I used a lot of gestures until I was older. I tried t...

Yeah, I know that autism is a neurological issue, but I meant people thinking that something more serious is wrong with you like a stroke or psychosis or something, due to issues you have with speech or something else. I'm really bad at verbalizing my thoughts and recalling details, so people don't ...

Does anyone get treated like people are concerned about there being something neurologically wrong with you, especially medical professionals? When I see doctors I sometimes get treated like they doubt the validity of what I'm saying and my recall of information, and they can act confused when I try...

I went to the physical therapist today. They were nice and very informative. I always am embarrassed when I see doctors though, because they don't seem to get what I'm saying, and will get confused when I try to explain things or remember things like dates and locations. I had a nurse at my primary ...
