More about social pressure: I remember reading an interview with a truck driver who frequently drove to Turkey and back to Poland. He said, Turkish truck drivers socialize by showing each other photos of their children on their phones - and each of them has six children or so. If Lebanon is even sli...

I'm not really into cooking because I don't like to think about food - sensory problem, I believe. I'm also discouraged by my husband who is a cuisine artist - I can't compete with him. But I know how to turn raw ingredients from my fridge into something edible and nutricious with minimum effort. Ev...

Sly, that is exactly my point! No, I was against circumcision when we were discussing it in another thread. Or, to be more correct, I was surprised by prevalence of it in USA and I found it weird - in my country, only religious Jews do it for non-medical reasons and there is not many of them, so I h...

As you don't want uncle stories, I'll refrain from stories of my husband's uncle, my mother's father, my close friend and my another close friend. Biologically, 37 is not really much for a man - but there are of course factors other than biology. I suspect you may live under high social pressure abo...

I ask her. She says she doesn't know. From what she says, she misses some safe space and time when she is neither at school nor with her sister. OK, 'misses some safe space'? I think she may be afraid of you or your husband becoming angry again and doesn't care anything else than. You need to care ...

I always had almost exclusively male friends. Our boundaries were always very clear. If someone wanted to be my boyfriend, he had to accept it or else I would think he wasn't interested in a relationship with me . Being true to yourself is more important than having a relationship, imo. My now-husba...

So women shouldn’t be able to Debate or give advice on Circumcision? Or other male issues? CSU’s it’s mostly women who seem to support and defend it here. And anti gun people can’t give input on guns or gun control as they have zero experience with it. People who’ve had relationships can’t talk abo...

Nah, I just always went with analytical side since I was a child.

Me too.
It's a survival skill.
So?

If I have time, I can hug her and sometimes she is able to draw what she means but what to do when we are in a hurry and she just stands there without a sound or move when she has to e.g. put her shoes on? I suppose her father's yelling makes it only worse but it's not about what not to do, it's ab...

NTs do it all the time, they don't need to do anything concious about it. It's part of automatic functioning, like breathing or keeping balance on two legs. Sometimes some NTs can conciously alter their body language for some special situation like job interview or business talk - but not everyone ...

Back to magz' question: What if #2 was the sister or wife of the pregnant woman, instead of the husband? Does gender matter in that case, if the woman never had a baby? She would not have gender-based inability to expirience the issue. Yes, you are right, neither of them expirienced nor had profess...

Thanks. I'm better now.
I think I'll collect the kids a bit earlier today. The weather is great.
