Thanks, guys. Yeah...early this morning, I received an accidental blank text from her, which tells me that she's most likely looking back at our old texts. Writing everything out, and reading through it, has definitely helped me to really take stock of everything. It's made it a bit easier to see pa...

It's definitely been a while since I've been on this forum. I guess it just felt like everything in my life was going pretty good and that I, somehow, no longer needed the support that this place has provided. I'd certainly say that all of that has changed, recently. Anyways, here's my story. Sorry,...

I've never heard of an autism waiver, but in southern California, there's a place called the Frank D. Lanterman Center that provides services to people with developmental disabilities. Their website is http://www.lanterman.org/ When I was diagnosed with HFA, my parents signed me up with them. They o...

I know exactly what you mean. I had to do this with my mother for most of my life as well. She's a bi-polar taurus with serious rage issues. For most of my life, I simply didn't allow myself to get upset in situations where I had an absolute right to because it simply wasn't worth it. I truly didn't...

I absolutely love Breaking Bad. It's one of the few shows where I can't wait 'til the next episode. I definitely have an affinity for Jesse Pinkman. Except for the fact that I don't listen to rap and I don't call everyone "b***h", I can really relate to the character. I was that intelligent kid with...

...I regularly have a bruise or cut or something on my body that is noticeable and I have no idea how I got it. I bang and bump things and don't notice the pain so just keep moving. Then the mysterious swelling or bleeding or brusing... people regularly think I'm nuts for not remembering how that h...

I have a higher pain tolerance for bone pain than anyone I've ever met, but I've always just attributed that to the fact that I was born with a genetic bone disorder called Osteogenesis Imperfecta (OI) that makes my bones break like glass. It's the same thing that Samuel L. Jackson's character has i...

I find her a hypocryte more than anything. She either needs to fight the consumption of beef or quit claiming how much she loves the cows... ...or she could actually be realistic, come to the simple realization that people are not going to stop eating beef (no matter how many emaciated vegans throw...

I liked it.

I think they did a good job at showing how she thinks in pictures. A lot of it seemed pretty familiar.

Claire Danes did a great job in the role. I think she nailed a lot of Temple Grandin's mannerisms.

I seriously just bought both of those at best buy, like two weeks ago, for ten bucks more.

The movie isn't about autism. The movie is about two brother's relationship. Another movie a lot of people get mixed up on is Silence of the Lambs. A lot of people think it's a movie about serial murder when its a movie about woman's rights. Your thoughts on this seem a bit too black and white. It ...

Hey, I worked on the lights on a bunch of those suits...

It's cool to actually see them lit up on the actors instead of stretched over their rigid body-casts.

When I was young I would make a sound like a cricket all the time. I'd shape my lips like I was whistling, but then I'd suck air in and let my tongue vibrate as the air flowed over it. According to my parents, I did a good enough job of imitating it that I actually fooled people into thinking there ...

I don't like the thought of having something in common with another person. I even all out avoid it. I don't like Harry Potter or Twlight because it's the "it" thing today. After Meerkat Manor became so popualr, I started to notice I wasn't as obsessed with meerkats as I used to be. People used to ...

Seems like there are alot of skeptics here. When islands start disappearance, and glaciers disappear off the face of the earth in a 20 year timespan, we really should notice. I think denying it like that is just selfish. It shows you only really care about the generation you live in. Oh, so Britain...
