I had always known there was something wrong within me. It took 34 years but I think I have found the answer in Asperger's. However, when I found that Asperger's matched many of my symptoms, I also started thinking about my Father. My Dad has always been a very, very peculiar man. A lone, solitary m...

I try to be open about my obsessions on this site but I am especially private about myself away from this site and in the public. I just don't have anyone to talk to about the way I am. In truth, no one cares. They all have their own problems. And unless I talked with another AS person or someone th...

I don't know if anyone else in my famiy has AS. If anyone does, then it'd have to be my Dad. But I really don't know what he has exactly since he is the kind of man who WILL NOT see a doctor. He only went to the doctor the first time in 77 years just a few months ago. And the only reason he went the...

Being cursed with a lack of social skills is a curse if you ask me. It's a curse I do and do not wish I could change. There are times I just wish I could go back in time to change certain things about my life. Go back and say the right thing instead of the junk that came out of my mouth or the hesit...

I really do enjoy reading. Although I have not done a lot of it in the longest time. I don't habe any grammatical dyslexia (that I know of). Just numerical dyslexia. Which is kind of odd since one of my older brothers has grammatical dyslexia. Me, I just get numbers kafoozled in my head and on paper...

I would post the pics themselves but I can't turn the html on yet. I don't know why. And because I'm on a laptop right now, copy and pasting the links into code would take me a month. So I'll just post my portfolio site and you can link to it from here. Cool? http://www.artwanted.com/markaudette I r...

You're not alone Hellznrg. Sometimes I think that the universe would be a lot better off without humans. All we do is consume and destroy. If there is a God and if there is a secret to life, I feel that answer to all of life's questions is: Symbiosis. Learn to coexist with and respect the entire pla...

I find thta my sex drive comes in phases. It ebbs and tides with my emotional state. If I'm happy then I'm open and receptive. And if I'm depressed, it receeds or disappears altogther. And it's been gone for me for a long time. Only recently has it become to grow again after years and years... *sigh...

In theory I would have to say yes, I may date an older woman who is more experienced. But who is to say ALL older women are sexually experienced. Just because they're older doesn't make all older women more knowledgable. I have never dated someone any older than myself. Not by design. I've just neve...

I would give just about anything to not be so backwards and incapable of holding a thoughtful, flowing conversation that stays to the point. ButI can't do that. And I certainly can't talk to women in any romantic fashion. I just don't get people. And I have the absolute WORST time reading people's b...

I have to laugh at myself.

I don't even have a sex life.

I'm divorced and I get an ulcer at the mere thought of dating again.

I live a very, very lonely and celebit life.

My main obsession is being an artist. That's wht I have been obsessed with. It's my God-given talent (knock on wood) and what I used to be obsessed with. Usually, I concentrate over a revolving series of things. It's always one thing but eventually i get bored with it and slowly go on to something e...

Thanks, all. I live in the US. Tennessee. It's on the eastern part of the U.S. Thankfully there is a good place here in town that can diagnose AS. One of the very few places in Tennessee, actually. Lucky for me! I hesitate in going back there since I have seen therapists there in the past. And it's ...

I was sitting one day watching a news segement about children with autism. (It's ALWAYS children and never adults! :x ). And one of the things mentioned was Asperger's Syndrome. I wasn't paying the closest attention to the segment until certain traits of the syndrome were mentioned. And then I perke...
