I was at the returns and order desk at a major retail store and it was a nightmare. Honestly when I was there, I was so used to masking I was able to last a year...going into year 2, it started getting unbearable, people were passing me up to other departments, getting awards, while I was stuck. And...

Whenever I do something that my family "approves of" they say that. When its something else, even when its a great accomplishment, I get "that's interesting" and sometimes nothing at all. I feel like I'm being "trained or something; manipulated. I'm open to be wrong but it s...

I hate to use the word "can't" but I woke up this morning feeling like a gold fished in a big (though beautiful) ocean. Social media is too much, my family is too much, my health is too much, obligations are too much. I just want to get back in bed. And this is not particularly depressive ...

This is just classic Machiavellian divide and conquer. i thankfully have not had a lot of this in my home but helping particular people occasionally with projects - a job you could have easily done yourself, with them as lead and needing to work 'with them' forces you to be as useless as a child be...

are you seeing a therapist? I was trapped in an unhealthy family with patterns like this until I got counseling and learned how to defend myself in healthy ways. I learned I had choices in how to respond to any individual. My autism would not let me see I could choose to do things differently than ...

I've been scrambling to find a diagnostic evaluation, trying to figure out how to pay for it. This past week I was referred to a study that includes a diagnosis and theyed pay me! God is good. Some of you suggested this and thank you so much. Anyone else experience this? Any warning signs to watch o...

Dear Klanka. So as we're not supposed to obey the Law of Moses, we're not supposed to obey the Ten Commandments? They seem a good set of rules to live by, thou shalt not kill and everything, didn't Jesus agree with those either? The other thing I've never understood - though it makes great reading ...

Do you live alone? If so, that can play hell with self-motivation. I'm usually more active when there's a bit of pressure from others to get off my butt, though too much pressure makes me feel like shutting down. When I'm alone for a long stretch of time I try to get at least one thing done every d...

Don't be so hard on yourself. Trendy is not always cool. In fact, trendy videos are the ones I avoid. And you're right about the clickbait. That's why I don't like the modern pop music, its not as artistry driven as back in my younger years.
