Bacon does not go with everything. And it should be crisp! So I've a headache & am staring at a plate of food that would be appetizing were it not covered in sad stinky bacon bits. I'd prefer bacos over this by far. And some of the bits are crispy onion bits. Love those. But the bacon...

I didn't have problems with poetry, except for Emily Dickinson's " A Narrow Fellow in the Grass ". I remember getting to the point of crying from frustration at not getting it at all. Mom (an English major & completely flummoxed) eventually just had to tell me it was about a snake. I d...

...as an example of them being able to take away physical media against your will, just as they can with streaming. A dvd movie (game, etc) has two parts: the physical DVD & the license to watch/use/play the movie. The license portion is revocable. The difference is that streaming just immediat...

Was that supposed to be sarcasm? That wasn't very funny at all. I was robbed. That was actually a pretty mean thing to say. No, it was an attempt to explain why they took the physical games since you seemed a bit surprised that they were taken. I had a friend who had his whole apartment robbed mult...

For going out of the house: I figured out long ago that lace on bras is bad. It looks pretty, but itches like mad. I also usually only buy cotton T-shirt bras. I prefer its texture over a slick one. The cotton is usually the more difficult thing to find. I need underwire & prefer padded for shap...

And isn't it possible that after you buy and thereby own the physical media, that can be taken away from your collection as well? No, unless they are stolen from one. Videos aren't repo'ed typically. One reason I ask is because I remember one time years ago (long before streaming was even a thing a...

VHS, DVDs, etc. didn't have ads, but they do have previews. Those are typically considered different because they're at the start & don't interrupt the show. They are also usually at the start, as when first loading the DVD, not before each episode.

Emotional support animals are not service animals. I don't know why people confuse the two.

I always figured that it wasn't my EF that was getting worse, but that more things keep getting added to the paperwork & responsibilities as I age. Life gets more complicated, not simpler, year by year. And since I'm the woman in the relationship, lots of this stuff, by default, seems to fall to...

I asked for a mood stabilizer. Best decision ever. I didn't know it was called a mood stabilizer, but my doc was great at interpreting my request and reasons.

I did understand it, but I cut out my explanation. I was just surprised that so many seemed to have cared so deeply about it. I didn't mind getting picked last for dodgeball (PE) because I was likely to be nearly first out every game. I much preferred reading on the sideline, so I'd purposely be an ...

Being one of the last few kids picked in PE class didn't bother me. It wasn't a subject that mattered to me or in my family. Why would I care that I was picked last?

Our local libraries have audiobooks on CD still, as well as digital (online) audiobooks. Have you tried your local library's online resources? If your local library doesn't have access to the item you want, you might try requesting it via inter-library loan or suggesting it for purchase. Your local ...

Curious side thought: I remember reading a long time ago (early 00s?) that kids in the UK weren't usually taken to the doc for Strep throat (at the initial outset). Is that (or was it) the case? Here, in the 80s & 90s, whenever I (or friends) smelled of Strep (it has a very distinct odor on the ...

I miss rain boots. I haven't seen any in stores in quite awhile, but I don't go shopping irl often. The few I've seen for adults were rather dull, while I'd prefer something bright & happy. Also rarely seen shorter ones, just the tall ones (which are over kill for my life). Good childhood memori...
