My oldest brother is Dyslexic but he's a NT. He doesn't have Asperger's.

I'm slammed with Dyscalculia. I am so bad with numbers that it's almost funny.

But thanks for asking.

You know, in a perfect world, my Dad (an Aspie too) should have been the one to get diagnosed first. And some time when I was a kid, I should have gotten diagnosed. But that's not the way it happened. I was the first one to get diagnosed. Then I had to backtrack and realize I had inhereted AS from h...

I voted No. Because at this point in my life, being almost 35 years old, I'm not going to learn anything new. I've already went through hell teaching myself how to live in the NT world. I've bent myself backwards many times over learning to adapt to the real world out there. I've taught myself how t...

I certainly don't have the same reaction to death as everyone else. Or at least as NTs do. All my Grandparents have died. And I've never cried over them. My Aunt died and I never cried. My newborn son died an I didn't cry until three years after his death. I was watching "She's Having a Baby." and a...

Ultimately, it was a news article on TV. Using search engines and the internet, I spent a lot of effort trying to find some kind of unofficial diagnoses about what I felt was wrong with me. Then about 5 years ago, I was halfway listening to the TV when a piece about Asperger's came on. I didn't pay ...

What type of sex do I prefer? Well, I'm getting older and I'm in my middle 30's (34). The kind of sex I like is the kind where I'm not wheezing and hacking and out of breath with exaustion. I like the kind of sex where I don't embarrass myself. I used to like having sex out in nature. That used to d...

I am just not attracted to the perfect looking woman. There's always something specific I'm attracted to in a woman. Or ON a woman. I don't like the perfectly-figured buxom woman that nearly everyone wants. With me, it's the shape of their eyes, a unique jaw line, an elegant sway, the tone of their ...

Have I really stopped playing with toys? I love gaming. And I will love playing video games for the rest of my life. I'm 34 now and will be a gamer for life. And if you've ever played a Final Fantasy video game then you know you can't quit playing them! But as far as real toys go, I think I was abou...

If I had one comfort item, it's this mechanical pencil I bought a long time ago. I bought it at an office supply store and it was the last one for sale. I like trying out new mechanical pencils like other people like to test drive cars. And to my surprise, it has turned out to be the most perfect fi...

As far as my own obsessions, it slowly changes from one thing to another. My main obsession is now fading and I don't think it will be coming back into swing any time soon. It's art. I'm an artist and I lived for my art up until the last few years. I used to love art so much that I was a man posesse...

It probably originated from early hackers and Phreakers (the earliest known hackers who hacked phone systems. The father of all ha...

I so sincerely appreciate all the help and encouragment you all have given me. I will look into the links you all have provided. On a side note (sort of), I told my brothers tonight about having to give Dad two enemas and they both had the same reaction. They didn't want to hear about it as it made ...

I will agree with Alternative: I also learn from my misjudgements.

I king of actually enjoy learning when I'm not right. Because I learn something I did not know when that happens. And learning is cool.

I have a social phobia. And it's so bad that I am on disability because of it. When I'm out in the public, I might as well be on Mars. The only thing I can do is pay devout attention to what I'm doing. That's the only way I can stay focused. Being out in the public can be very, very taxing. I can't ...
