I mean, I’ve loved Pokemon (mainly the games) since I was a child, and I’m jn my 20s now.

This is what happens after years of Thatcherism, and Austerity. With the proper funding, there would not be such long waits for NHS services.

Neither party really cares unfortunately, but at least Biden doesn’t go around mocking disabled journalists and blatantly calling Autism a disease like his immediate predecessor.

This actually describes a lot of the interactions I have with NTs as well. Especially at work.

This list is seemingly very geared toward NTs, not Autistics. Most of us are too noise sensitive for bars or fraternities; a higher percentage of us are atheist/agnostic compared to NTs (at least from what I’ve seen); we’re more likely to be un- or underemployed so we can’t afford dating coaches, ma...

I usually like Stephanie Bethany. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rdffVbU4tGA&ab_channel=StephanieBethany This one involves the Tania Marshall list, but I figure it's a good way to introduce both women. She has a lot of great, informative autism-related videos on her channel, but is also very c...

You’d think in 2022 publications wouldn’t use that outdated label anymore.

…And I'm not saying a certain gender has it better or worse. However, the struggles of autistic guys might be more noticeable (at least when it comes to pursuing a romantic interest) because, as a poster pointed out, guys are expected to do the chasing. Low social skills+expected to do the chasing=...

Here's an observation I've made from reading/posting on the forum: A lot of autistic gals are, largely, non-sympathetic toward the struggles of autistic guys within the dating realm. To me it seems to be more of an age thing than a gender thing. A lot of the older members on this forum, regardless ...

Autistic women do get unwanted male attention at times, so no one really has it easier. A lot of autistic guys would be flattered to get unwanted attention. Edit: Furthermore, when the guy is expected to make the first move, isn't it inevitable a woman will get unwanted attention? Possibly lots of ...

Not a bad listen at all. The Autistic guy they interviewed did a great job explaining how much of our community feels about ABA. My two gripes are 1) no mention of alternatives to ABA such DIR/Floortime and 2) that Singer woman.

Yeah really. Someone needs to educate this guy before he gets too close with them.

Kudos to the folks at Mattel for having great taste in Autism organizations to collaborate with in the development of this character. Let’s hope they don’t get greedy like the folks at Sesame Street did.

You and me both, OP. I work with an awesome Autistic woman who has a lot of the same interests as me, but is engaged to someone who isn’t me. I don’t know the guy’s neurotype so I will save you a “why do the few non-queer Autistic women always seem to get with NTs” rant. I’m both happy for her and s...
