^ Even so, I would submit that the issues raised in this thread are as relevant as ever today, at least in the country I inhabit. Our main suppliers of Gas and Electricity, and of telephone services and broadband (British Gas and British Telecom respectively), both outsource their 'customer services' to India, and in doing so show utter contempt for their subscribers. Computer 'Technical Support' scams from India are also still an ongoing problem here.
