I need one can of milk. It is a 10 3/4 oz can. One quart of dry milk is 3 and 3/4 Cups cold water and 1 1/3 cups dry milk I don't want to make an entire quart, just the can.

Will someone give me the amount of dry milk and water needed to do the 10 3/4 can?

Thanks

A quart is 32 oz, so you need to scale everything by 10 3/4 over 32, or 0.3359375:

3 3/4 c * 0.3359375 = about 1 1/4 c water

1 1/3 c * 0.3359375 = about 1/2 c dry milk (maybe a teaspoon less)

Bon appetit! :chef:

so much easier with metric as its based on 10's, measurements are more accurate
a 10 3/4 oz can is 10.75 ounces (US, fluid) is equal to 317.92ml
I cup = 250ml
2 cup = 500ml
3 cup = 750ml
4 cup = 1000ml or 1 Liter or 32oz or a us quart + 1 cup = one imperial quart 40oz

I guessed that the OP is in the U.S., since the unit of "ounces" isn't generally used in countries which have adopted the metric system, and 10 3/4 oz is the volume of a U.S Campbell's condensed soup can.

Not sure if the original post involved a question of units or a question of proportionality, but I hope my math was correct, and that the recipe was successful for the poster.

If you want to see what a mess we have here in the U.S., consider that we have two different volumes for a Cup, customary or legal.

Yee hah!
