Hey WP, I wonder if I'm the only one that has been having this issue with Windows Live or is everyone else aswell?

[img][650:576]http://i856.photobucket.com/albums/ab130/official_superboyian/BloomingComputer.gif[/img]

By the way, I have already god knows how many times I've tried to uninstall it and re-install it yet I STILL get the same issue.

I have already tried to do a clean install yet no luck with it.

I have already tried scanning it with a anti-virus program... I have Norton 360 and I have also tried using Spysweeper, which didn't detect it, I already tried Malwarebytes which actually did help speed up my computer and clean out the virus that what the other anti-viruses detected but however, it STILL didn't solve the problem.

Is there a simple way to do get this problem sorted because right now its bugging me.... If it didn't freeze all the time then I just wouldn't care but unfortunately it does and takes up to 2 minutes at the most which I find irritating, other than that, everything else runs smoothly.

I need to get this problem sorted because its really doing my head in, oh and my computer freezes whenever a person nudges me.

Problem solved... How I fixed it, well I didn't. Apparently there was an issue with the Windows Live server and unfortunately only selected members were affected and unfortunately I was one of them. :(

Thank goodness I had contacted them telling them there was an server issue otherwise I wouldn't be having this issue.

Thanks guys for the support, I totally owe you one for at trying. :D

Phrase the picture in the form of a problem.

That is, neither your image nor text actually says what issue is troubling you.

Basically when I try to change my themes, it simply doesn't at all show plus my msn is really annoyingly slow.

MSN never works properly. Never. There's always at least one thing wrong with it.

Ok, thanks.

So the theme data is missing perhaps, and is not included with the installer, or it is being installed in the wrong place.. I would find a source for additional themes, install those and see if you get results. This will clarify whether it is an application error or a resource issue.

The themes were there when I first got live messenger, I already tired looking for a installer for it, I already tried downloading an older version but for some reason, they don't allow you to downgrade.

I wonder if I can contact microsoft somehow or the messenger team about this issue?

That doesnt mean they didnt disappear however.

I see you are using vista or seven? I had some problems with vista creating a symbolic link to a document I was working on and hiding the original. Then the symlink stopped working. Very annoying. It turns out it was because I didnt care to run the application as admin. <growl>

Yes it is vista, unfortunately THEY suck, I have used Ubuntu but then I didn't like the idea of having to switch operating systems and I was too used to windows that I ended up having to get rid of it.

HANG ON, I think I just about got the idea whats wrong with the blooming thing, I can't afford to wait a whole two hours and couple of days to reinstall windows again.... I might aswell save up for wiindows 7.

And that would be pretty extreme just to get a functional chat client.

Already tried using Miranda IM and it just didn't feel right for me.

I'm not bothered with msn anymore, I pray to god it's a server issue oh and my winks are missing.
Apparently I found someone with the exact same issue as me after reinstalled his system... Now I need to complain to messenger team somehow.

For the meantime, I actually might aswell stick with curtis122's idea, I'm definitely considering using an alternative for the meantime. :D

i have heard it said that Microsoft Windows is a 32-bit extension to a 16-bit graphical shell for an 8-bit operating system originally coded for a 4-bit microprocessor by a 2-bit company that can't stand 1-bit of competition

Have you tried Firefox? It's got tens of thousands of themes...no problems for me (but I'm still on XP; archaic, but stable...sorta...;)

I have firefox but I prefer not to use the themes on there because it simply just uses up my memory.... But thanks for the suggestions though. :)
