Hm. Do you know if there is a star trek theme? And does this just run on gnome with no modifications?

Looks good enough. I got Ubuntu running on my laptop along with Windows Vista today so I will probably be looking for a good theme. That one looks slightly messy though.

Head over to gnome-look.org then. Also check out conky. lifehacker has some nice examples for that.

I've already done that, I just used the one I've got on my old IBM Thinkpad. It's much faster than Windows Vista was, I'm getting things done in half the time it took before. Still have Vista though, WINE just doesn't work well enough for gaming.
