I know practically nothing about computers and I have a question. My kids are all at school so I'm asking ya'll. I'm trying to find a movie. I looked on YouTube there are a lot of the ones where it directs you to another site to watch it for free. Are those scams or a virus or something? I haven't clicked on one, I wanted to ask first.

Is it real, is it a subscription pay service, is it a virus, what? Anybody know?

It's not real.

There are a variety of different ways to find movies you want to see. None of which are particularly legal, but I don't think that stops many people. You could torrent the film, or watch it in parts on youtube. It depends what film you want, and if you mind it being poorer quality or not I suppose.

Scam or virus is a reasonable assumption as to what they might be. I never really looked that deeply into them, I do know that many of those 'services' aren't free anyway.

Whenever you see a link on Youtube to some external site where you can download or watch a movie, it's best to ignore those completely.
