Large dart shaped craft is hurled at Mach speed by a maglev launch sled, a solid rocket motor propels ship fast enough that plasma is produced on tip of a sacrificial rod that extends from the heat shield, at the base of this rod is a small D-t fusion reactor confined with a intense magnetic field, this field repels the "rod plasma" creating a bubble, insulating the ship and boosting the field density by compresing it, at a point near the rear of the ship the D-t plasma is added to the wake plasma, using a vasimir style system the plasmas heat can be exchanged into thrust...

OMG epic idea. Where on earth did you come up with that?

I have been attempting to design a reusable mostly ground based energy
ship for a while, not turning into vapor was the initial idea for the plasma shield, loosly based on the rocket torpedo, power requirements would be intense and drag so...... fusionjet.

I have many ideas I am working on, only in my head at the moment sadly. But I am a AutoCAD draftsmen/Blender animator/ nurse / aspie
