Hi, so long story short I had to go get my laptop fixed about a few weeks ago & not everything such as Inkscape could be saved onto Windows 10, so I had to reinstall it. Didn't mind it at first & when I installed the application it seemed to be just fine, but the one problem I have is when downloading random fonts I want to use for projects Inkscape won't let me use this font or that font whatsoever & I've never had that problem when I first started using Inkscape around August or September of 2018.

Before that happened though I tried downloading 7 Zip file manager & downloaded the binary archive in 7zip format, but when I tried to extract the files nothing happened it wouldn't work. I'm not sure what I did wrong or what version to download for Windows 10 64 bit, but I just want Inkscape back to draw freely & of course use misc. fonts like in the past to work on my projects.

If anyone doesn't mind please telling me what to do or giving an alt link I would greatly appreciate it, thank you & have a good day.

I tried tutorials such as this, but it didn't work. I'm not trying to be difficult just being honest, no matter what font I download from DeviantArt or any other site Inkscape won't except downloaded fonts.

Just had a look at the comments under that video and a few people are complaining
that the fonts won't show in Inkscape after the installation process.
This was the suggested remedy:

Quote:
If it doesn't work for you like it wasn't working for me:
Unzip the file anywhere> go to the file> rightclick on it> install FOR ALL USERS> Restart Inkscape
