Not until they do more to increase grant money to deserving natural-born American citizens who want to pursue an Engineering Degree and then go on to an Engineering career in the U.S. of A.

Something like, "We'll fund your tuition if you go to work for General Motors for a minimum of four years."

Surely if there is a glut of already qualified engineers with a sizeable fraction unemployed or underemployed then it makes more sense to create engineering jobs for them before encouraging more youngsters to study engineering courses.

I'm a member of AIChE, but that's it. I find it more useful to be a member of an organization that is in your field than an overall one.
