It would make sense to make an app for wp android or iphone even a mobile version of the site just tired of fumbling with full site with touchscreen

They should, it would help a lot but of course, this forum software is so outdated, it probably might be impossible to do?

Id like a mobile view or app as well. I don't own a computer, only a cell phone and iPad, so it starts to annoy me when I'm fussing with this website.

There's an app called Tapatalk that is popularly used for forums.

I believe the forum would have to "enable" its use somehow.

Sometimes when I navigate to forums from my phone I'm prompted to install this. I'm certain the admins could manage this if they put their minds to it.

Please keep in mind that the site owner has a life outside of WP, and that WP is a non-profit support site. Simply starting from scratch and writing an app can be a very time consuming project.

It would, but unfortunately the module required to be installed on the server is not compatible with this version of the forum software.
There may also be requirements specific to WP (branding, ads, etc) which would need the paid version of the forum support module - and that would create other issues, since WP is free to use.

I was actually thinking about this the other day, ".... I'm surprised that WP doesn't have an app, unlike other forums I've used. (i.e. The Physics Forums.), but I guess the website will have to suffice.

I agree with all the others that this forum software is very outdated indeed.
