Have any other aspies had their DNA tested on 23andme or similar and did you find out anything interesting?

I found out I'm descended from an Irish king that lived a thousand years ago and that I have more Neanderthal DNA than 99% of people

I wanted to, but they said they only accept human DNA. (I call that discrimination.)

I used 23andme only because I got it for free. Even for free, it wasn't worth it. Didn't provide any useful information. CBC news did a piece on how bunk those ancestry DNA companies are, they used two identical twins and not only did they get drastically different ancestry from company to company, they didn't even get the same results from the same company even though the two are identical twins. So essentially its all a BS scam.

Even identical twins can score differently on the "markers" those services test for. Something to do with epigenetics and gene expressions.

Ask a sensible question in the science section and all you get is paranoia from the tin foil hat brigade.

I've had mine tested at Ancestry,Family tree dna,23andMe,My heritage and Living dna. I've also uploaded raw data to dna land,gedmatch,Geneplaza and My true ancestry(ancient ancestry).

The results from the various services were not exactly the same, but not exactly different from each other either.

These tests of ethnicity are reckoned to be better at the continental ie Europe,Asia etc than sub continental Germany/France, Japan/Korea for example. It's said the best guide to actual ethnicity is via the cousin matches you get. For me that's British and Irish as strongest matches with some less strong Scandinavian and other assorted European matches.
