My Internet is acting weird today.
I can access my Google email, but my Yahoo email connection times out. I can start up Steam but it won't load the discussion forums. Reddit doesn't load. Borderlands 2 takes forever to create an online session and when it loads Shift is offline.
I don't know what to do.

I did. It got resolved. I don't know what the problem was though. Network congestion, maybe?

Yep, that sort of thing can happen from time to time. I have been with many different ISP's over the years, and some were a lot worse than others. I remember years ago with copper-wire broadband, that was the worst with having to ring up my ISP to fix issues.
There was no local problem, I always wire computers with Ethernet to a router/modem, it was just something probably like you have experienced, i.e, unspecified 'network congestion' that requires someone, somewhere, to press a few buttons to fix.
I had to reset my phone, and not download gamail. I also found not logging into chrome, speeded me up and don't believe their preference policy.
Downloaded opera lite, but kept bombing out so tried Firefox mobile and it's working better. With autism forums I had ads blocking, kept rolling back older browser and when local install deleted if barely ran. I think it's traffic as well so trying to log into thread like what song are you listening to, problematic. Cornflake should archive that thread, start new one.
I still waiting to long for text pad to enable, so just type messages in text editor and paste my reply. It's annoying but ye, forum and traffic can grind down,
I'm still ticked at how I reset my phone and it's superfast, logging with mail account to play Store is ok. But chrome slows down as soon as there's mail or log in. Actually thinking of disabling it altogether and it's nice and handy to download my mail, but I think id choose different provider, so it's ruining my phone. I find convenient but I'm considering disabling many of these services for privacy and going without half smart phone benefits because my privacy is a right.
I find I really like these autism forums because they're anti-social media platform, but need verification to replace Google that respects privacy and is for people who select what they want/use.
Example SEO doesn't work for me because user ratings for work are ok, for private search or research it doesn't give results I need as it's not factual, it's preferences to mass dumb idiot preferences. Ye, we need exclusive (not inclusive) services for asd people, agree?
Just wanted to edit here to add: since factory reset 2x I'd noticed performance increase now since most social media platforms I don't use due to autism. But times I want to briefly access Facebook to tell an organisation something important and I'm blocked, Facebook doesn't offer a 3rd party service to view a person's pages for organisation without wanting to be exposed to the world. So since it locks verification to phone number I just don't bother at all. Aside from keeping my number or mail account, yes to mail has to change but it's still in the process, so one of platforms I do enjoy is YouTube but to comment, have to log in and that's again where my phone is slow and I'm pending changing all this next year, with forwarding mail address.
So passport to log in through Gmail looks convenient, but the cost is privacy and speed. Try, decide for yourself.
