Could somebody recommend a simple program to control my humble budget? Remember I'm a cybertwit, it should be a program for morons - impatient morons who have meltdowns.

Quite a few programs come up searching for 'finance' on the FreshMeat.net software index. Most are Open Source or free. Some are extremely advanced pieces of software so just ignore what you don't understand and try out the simple programs. And as a bonus, most software listed on FM runs equally well on Linux, Mackintosh, and oh yes Windows too.
