I bet that 99% of the people who visit Computers, Math, Science, and Technology are nerds.

What do you guys think?

I experience nerd as a bit negative term and as an old expression. Although... I think I could be classified as one of them, maybe? I think other people would need to decide on that one. Been using computers since I was seven years old.

I try to exercise quite a lot outside when the weather is good. I think it can remove some of the "nerd impression". I only do it because of health reasons though, and not because of my looks.

Yes, they are cool! Although as Mr Pirillo has stated in his podcast. Nerds can smell really bad sometimes! :) He has explicitly noted this in his podcast and I haveto agree.

If someone here has iTunes installed you can look at this one.

Who is picking on you in real life Pat666rick?

Someone is. I recognise reflexive bullying from my days as a bouncer. I saw people do it after they lost fights, I saw gang members do it, and I even saw my fellow bouncers do it when frustrated.

It was all a reflexive action to prop themselves up from being at the bottom of the heap, socially. From feeling weak.

There was a method to their madness though. The sort of person they went after reflected the reason they were feeling weak.

I watched two women fight once. The loser was somewhat vain about her hair, and in the fight, she had a handful ripped out. Within a few minutes, she returned with a large pair of scissors, grabbed the victorious womans hair, and lopped off a foot long length of her hair in revenge.

Just so you know. When you make posts like this, Its understandable. Its pathetic, but understandable. Someones making you feel nerdy and geeky in real life, so you come here and try to castigate others for acting that way.

Pathetic, but understandable.

Your estimate is too conservative.

Of course I'm a nerd, and a geek (and probably a bit dorky too). So what?

Who wants to talk about the scientific fallicies in how the Heisenburg uncertainty principle makes star trek teleporters impossible :)

I've always preferred the term geek over nerd.
