"Agent of The Imperium", by Marc W. Miller. -- To save a galaxy, a dead hero must rise again!

Jonathan Bland is a Decider, empowered by the Emperor himself to deal with the inevitable crises of an empire.  In the service of the Empire, he has killed more people than anyone in the history of Humanity, to save a hundred times as many.  He died centuries ago, but they reactivate his recorded personality whenever a new threat appears.  When the crisis is over, they expect he will meekly return to oblivion.

He has other ideas.

The chronicle of Bland reveals secrets of the history of the star-spanning Third Imperium and spans 400 years from early Imperium (about year 0300) through the mid-post Civil War period (about year 0700) touching known and unknown events you may have encountered in your own reading of the Imperium: everyday events, political intrigue, deadly dangers, Arbellatra, Capital, Encyclopediopolis, the Karand's Palace, and a Tigress-class Dreadnought.

If you know the Traveller science-fiction role-playing game, then some of this is already familiar; if not, no matter—this story introduces the vast human-dominated interstellar empire of the far future in ways only the designer and chronicler of this particular universe can.

If they can mashup songs why not mashup movies?

I would like to see a mashup of 1) "the DaVinci Code",staring Tom Hanks with (2) "The Sons of the Desert" starring Laurel and Hardy.

The former is a drama thriller that portrays the Free Masons as an all powerful cabal that has influenced the world for two thousand years. The later is a comedy that uses a fictional fraternal organization to spoof the Free Masons by portraying them as a bunch of henpecked buffoons.

David Fincher's remake of 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea.

Eastern Promises 2

Sylvester Stallone's biopic about Edgar Allen Poe.

The Kenneth Branagh one is pretty decent if you haven't seen it...aside from one short scene, it's very faithful to the book.

That reminds me, there's this old rumor that the very first movie had a much more violent cut, originally, that got censored on home video.

Idunno how much truth there is to it, but it's not uncommon at all.

Can this version be found on DVD or any free streaming network?

It was certainly closer to Shelly's novel than the classic from the 30s but that's not saying much. In the novel she is very vague about the actual means by which Frankenstein animated the monster and nowhere in the book is electricity used, be it a lightning bolt or a bunch of electric eels.

DVD certainly. I've got it. Came as a two pack with Bram Stokers Dracula (my favorite screen Dracula by far). :skull:

If anyone doesn't know already, Francis Ford Coppola will begin filming
his sci-fi epic Megalopolis the Spring of 2022.

Long, long ago,

In a galaxy far, far away

(maybe only a week ago last Tuesday),

a small child, full of light and hope, was born to a virgin.

No, not THAT one!  This virgin was some space-alien barmaid.

Anyway, this child's birth would presage the dawn of a new era

It would be the best of times, it would be the worst of times,

It would be the age of wisdom, it would be the age of foolishness,

It would be the epoch of belief, it would be the epoch of incredulity,

It would be the season of Light, it would be the season of Darkness,

it would be the spring of hope, it would be the winter of despair

We would have everything before us, we would have nothing before us

We would all going direct to Heaven, we would all going direct the other way

The new era would be seen in...
