GetAWAY.

Pretty lackluster slasher flick where film school students go out to a wilderness camp to make a horror movie, when it appears one of them is a serial killer filming his own murders.
The idea had so much potential.

Halloween Kills.

Sequel to the new Halloween reboot. Starting off where the last movie ends, the damn firemen rescue Michael Myers from Laurie Strode's burning house - - and get murdered for their trouble. The people of Haddonfield work themselves up into a lynch mob, chanting, "Evil dies tonight!" collectively becoming as much a monster as Michael himself. Then there's the question: as Michael has been shot and stabbed countless times, is it possible that he's become more than human?
Fun fact: The Last Starfighter had been directed by Nick Castle, who had played Michael in the original 1978 movie, as well as in the reboot and the new sequel. Meaning, Michael Myers had directed The Last Starfighter!
Actually an enjoyable movie. And yes, it left an open door for a sequel.

I want to see it.

I watched this one for maybe the third time, yesterday morning.
A must-see:

I also think Mary and Max [2009] is a really good movie!

^^^^ Mary & Max is one of my favourite films of all.

Today I saw a treasured comedy from my childhood, Mouse Hunt.

Eh, it's funnier to a kid than to an adult. But it didn't help that I watched it many times so I saw everything coming.

Injustice.

DC animated movie taking place in another part of the Multi-verse, where the Joker causes Superman to accidentally kill Louis Lane and their unborn child. Going off the deep end, Superman becomes dictator of the earth to eradicate evil, but becomes evil himself. The Justice league is split over siding with Superman, or fighting him.
Very recommended.

Dune.

I have mixed feelings about this newest remake (or half remake, as the movie ended halfway through). While this movie's visuals and special effects are updated compared to the David Lynch movie, the Lynch movie was actually more loyal to the book. So far, there's no mention of how the Navigator's Guild were manipulating events in order to destroy Paul Atradies (spelling), the character of Feyd Rautha is completely absent, and storylines where characters die have been stretched out needlessly to happen later in the movie.
Still, it's Dune, and should be watched.
