We just watched:

Dune [2021]
-=-"Beyond fear, destiny awaits."

We agree it is wonderful—if it is followed up well. It is a wonderful beginning but if subsequent films do not do it justice it is just a beautiful waste of time. However, if subsequent films do a good job building on it, then it is the beginning of somethingspectacular.

I enjoyed it too.

Eternals.

Maybe not as bad as some people have been telling me, but hardly the best Marvel movie, either.

Don't Look Up

God it was bad, and not just because I'm not the intended audience for it's message either, it just wasn't good.

I just got finished watching it. Unfortunately I found it to be painfully tedious. It was one of those movies where I had to use willpower to get all the way through it. I'm a fan of the book, so it's not like I was unable to follow along. As awful as some aspects of the 1984 version were, I've watched several times. However I can't see myself ever wanting to sit though this version again. But I'm glad others enjoyed it. I'm hoping to find part 2 more enjoyable.

Mimesis: Nosferatu.

Low budget, unevenly made horror movie where a high school drama class puts on a reenactment of the 1922 Nosferatu movie. But someone has some sinister plans for it. Could've been good.

Frank.

A British musician gets hired on as a keyboard player for a band where the lead singer wears a papier-mâché head named Frank. As everyone else in the band, he is taken by Frank, seeing him as an eccentric visionary. But what they all convince themselves is just pleasant weirdness is actually severe mental illness.
Very enjoyable, sometimes dark, comedy. Highly recommended.
