You have to remember the time this happened in 1935 so an illicit affair would have destroyed both their careers. Loretta Young was adamant she wanted to keep the child. When Judy Lewis (their daughter) was older she resembled Clarke Gable so strongly that it was impossible to hide.

Thanks. I looked at more recent pics too. I can see where he'd appeal to some people but he looks too pretty for me. He has very delicate features and seems quite slim.
