Based how a rumour i heard, whether or not its true, that simpsons will soon be having a final epsiode no more new epsoides, i thought id create the following poll just for fun.

P.S. I can't wait for the movie to be released on DVD on tuesday! :D

It's about time. The Simpsons is getting lame and running out of new ideas.

I second that one. It's a very old series.

I thought no new episodes had to do with writer's strike.

I think that is the case. There have been writer's strikes in the past, and the one in 1988 was a major one.

I think the series should have ended about nine years ago.

I liked the movie, though.

I have been watching the simpsons for as long as I have been watching tv practically. I dont think the new episodes are that great, every show I ever watched seems to have dull ass endings cause they ran outa ideas and did not stop while the show was still good. I will miss the simpsons when they are gone but I think they may have a few more seasons I am pretty sure they are contracted for another year or 2. I thought the movie was alright myself, saw it at the drive in but was with too many loud people and we were all drinking so I missed most of the movie cause nobody woulod keep quiet. I may buy the DVD.

I also have been watching it for a long time, since i was 10, so for 16 years, sunday after sunday, new epsoide after new epsoide after new epsoide. I can't remember if it was always aired on sundays. I would watch the repeats every day at 5pm on CBC for as long as i can remember.
I do admit that i get a little bored watching the new epsoides, they arent that funny, but i still make it through it. I ocassionally will miss an epsoide on sundays because my roommate/landlord hates the simpsons, so we end up watching a movie instead.

My favorite part of the simpson's movie was near the end, i can't wait to see that part again, i was the only one in the theatre laughing my ass off during that part.

Does this have anything to do with the writers strike?

This show should have ended years ago really.

QFT.

Why couldn't they have done a Fawlty Towers and ended it at the height of its success? Too much money to be made probably.

1995 mate.

personally, as long as the Sci Fi channel isn't affected for Star Gate Atlantis, then that doesn't bother me.
