SAILOR MOON (including the new one): some romance/drama, a lot of action. Not creepy at all, unless you count the "youma" (monsters) and some of the attitudes of the villains (though I just find them laughable in most cases).

YU YU HAKUSHO: okay, he's killed and comes back as a ghost/spirit detective. A little weird, but mostly action.

FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST: VERY action-oriented, plus focusing on the relationship between the two brothers.

Cool, thanks, I'll be sure to take a look at them :)

Ouran High School Host Club pretty much in general. The show is smart, funny, uniquely refreshing, and has quality friendships.

I liked Rurouni Kenshin, because he was capable but restrained.

How's this for Aspergian tendencies --
The sword is backwards, with the blunt side outward.

He apparently prevails, because rivals don't know how to deal with his strange approach.

I liked it when the Ninja Turtle, Leonardo, adopted honorable tendencies, but not when the samurai character, Goemon, from Lupin III became fatalistic.

I thought it was interesting when Samurai Jack organized the dogs and apes, and the ronin of Samurai 7 organized the peasants, to rebel and win.

I liked the details. Many animes have soundtracks worthy of surround sound, use multi-layered backgrounds, and had professional help to accurately portray the culture. In rarer cases, some had allegedly went so far as to reconstruct lost languages.

Pretty much everyone from Hetalia. Even the characters that I don't relate to in any way I can at least find funny or cute.

I particularly like Honda Kiku, Arthur Kirkland, Mathew Williams and Roderich Edelstein.

I love Kyoko Sakura and Homura Akemi from Puella Magi Madoka Magica. I like Kyoko's background story and tomboyish personality. And Homura, she's just so amazing as well (I kinda have a little thing for her).

Kongou from Kantai Collection is also a weakness of mine (the anime itself is pretty bad, but I love the game). Maybe because she was built in England and acts stereotypically British, and I'm English. And she's just a massive cutie all round.

Oh, and Minami Kotori from Love Live is as cute as a button.

My favourite male character would probably be Rintarou Okabe from Steins;Gate. He's pretty funny, and I really like how he's like a crazy 'mad scientist', and then can be serious and cool. :)

(BTW shouldn't this be in the Television, Film, and Video thread?)

I'm not that much of an anime fan, but I do love the 1995 "Ghost in the Shell" movie.
So I guess I'd go with major Motoko Kusanagi, the main character from that movie.

Some of my favorite scenes :
