I like Lost, though some episodes are better than others. It's best to watch them on DVD anyway since you don't have to wait a week to see what happens.

I don't watch TV ever, generally. So the number of TV shows that I've watched and enjoyed I can count on one hand; X-Files, Battlestar Galactica, and Six Feet Under. For someone who prefers TV series to be non-episodic, with long story arcs that go over the entire series, can anyone recommend a quality TV series? Preferably one that has been released in a digital format at some stage (ie. DVD).

Lost. I just recently got into it after seeing Cloverfield. I bought the dvds and I didn't finish them until the new season was on tv. i don't want to jump into the middle of the show so I have to wait until the season 4 dvd comes out.
It's really an amazing show.

Thanks for the recommendations. Lost sounds interesting, I'll have a look at the pilot episode and see if I like it.

I second the suggestion for Stargate SG-1 in this thread. I myself just got through watching all 10 seasons over the past 4 months. Now I need to borrow The Ark of Truth from my friend, and at some point get the 3 seasons of Atlantis so far.

That Mitchell and Webb Look. It's a British sketch comedy show starring David Mitchell and Robert Webb (who are hilarious). In the US, it's on BBC America every Friday at 9:20PM (after "Coupling")

These are a couple clips from Youtube.
