Quite OT but the word Georgia keeps making me think of Georgia as in Baku, Azerbaijan area. Because my favourite fictional book happens to Ali and Nino, where Nino is the Georgian girl that Ali falls in love with. And Georgians are known for being beautiful like how Scarlett is, and it's also romantic, so I keep mixing it up every time you guys write it, and have to remind myself.

Georgian: ქართველები, translit.: kartvelebi, pronounced [kʰɑrtʰvɛlɛbi]), are a nation and indigenous Caucasian ethnic group native to Georgia and the South Caucasus. Large Georgian communities are also present throughout Russia, Turkey, Greece, Iran, Ukraine, United States and the European Union.

Lol indeed, there's more than one Georgia in the world. :D

Yeah it's funny how there are two places with that same name. One in the deep south of the USA, and the other in the deep south of the former U.S.S.R..

If you wanna slaughter them at a trivia party just ask folks "what do Jimmy Carter, Ceelo Green, George Balanchine, Paula Deen, and Joseph Stalin, all have in common?"

Answer..."they are all from Georgia!" (but not necessarily from the SAME Georgia). :D

You know someone who looks like she is from Georgia ( I now have an idea of it, based thanks to OP's video and naturalplastic mentioning Paula Deen)? Gabrielle Miller.

My favorite character from The Golden Girls, Blanche Devereaux, is also from Georgia (the US version ;) )

This is one I my favorite funny scenes with her.

But I think the characters in the movie were suppose to be racist weren't they? I don't think the movie itself was racist, but the situations of the movie were. Unless I am wrong, and the movie itself was?

I wonder why it is that the movies with the worst possible main characters who border on being sociopaths always end up being the most popular among viewers? Like the James Bond movies or those Spaghetti Westerns starring Clint Eastwood.

Likely because every one of us secretly wishes that he or she could behave in socially irresponsible ways, dispense our own brand of frontier justice upon those who deserve it, laugh maniacally about it, and do all of this with impunity.

I guess that makes sense, and it dates back centuries. Many of the myths and folklore in ancient civilizations like Rome always depicted the heroes and Gods behaving in ways that would have been considered amoral by societal standards.

The movie and book today is racist, back then at least for white folks it wasn't.

It was always racist, it just took a long time for white people to figure that out. Some of them, at least...

Right it has been but I'm talking about back then it wasn't considered racist despite the fact that the racism was blatant.

That's only because back then white people held all the power in the world instead of most of it (the way they do now) and they greatly ignored the plight of people of color in this country. To them a black person did not exist unless he or she was serving them food and drinks in a servant's uniform.

True, they also had to have their heads pulled out of their moon.

Well I watched it again, and why is the movie so racist, what about it though? Just because the characters in the movie are racist? They are movies with racist characters in, what makes this one the exception?

Plus the movie was the first movie to have a black actress win best supporting actress, so if it's such a racist movie, then why did the producers of the movie apply for that category of award then?

Yeah that makes something not racist, that is such a horrid take.
