Do you like any film(s) that critics were disappointed in? And if so, which ones?

Howard the Duck - Every single critic considers this to be one of the worst films ever, but I enjoyed it. My dad and I love watching it. In fact, they actually filmed a small segment of the movie in a town not far from where I live.

I really liked The Pacifier starring Vin Diesel. I don't know why the critics panned it.

Street Fighter- The fans can go suck it, because a PERFECT adaptation is nigh impossible. Also, Raul Julia is an awesome M. Bison.

Speed Racer's another one. It's incredibly cheesy with zilch for a plot, but I enjoy the style, and it's probably the best looking Blu-Ray I own. It's worth it for two scenes alone: The scene involving a golf cart being driven by a monkey wailing to speed metal, plowing down scientists on Segways, and the scene with the viking racing team.

Alien 3, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, They, The Fountain, Silent Hill, The Doom Generation, and Dune. Also Ebert Why you gotta go hating on Brazil?

Alien 3 really does have have so much to say about loss. It's almost Russian in tone.

I thought last years Oscar should have gone to both Let the Right One In and The Wrestler.

I hate to be a film snob, but am to a certain extent.

Question: Is there any movie critics DON'T hate? :?

Anyways I guess mine would be The Skeleton Key. While I admit the film wasn't scary, it was very interesting and I loved the twist in the end. Plus the theme about hoodoo was very cool, and it's nice to see a film that doesn't potray all Southeners as inbreeding hicks, though they were still creepy. :P
