And the concept's so cool, it hardly matters they didn't pull the movie off!

it has to do with being different, having a gift, some people feeling threatened by the gift, not fitting in with other people, not having the same life experiences, etc.

I'd be interested in what other people think of the movie.

I loved it but I dont tend to go into all the deep meanings of things. I prefered the flashy special effects and the idea of teleporting.

Only problem is I have the DVD up on my shelf but havent watched it since the first time because of weird OCD thing that I dont quite understand myself.

I haven't seen it but I think the concept sounds good. The lead "actor" puts me off watching it - shame he can't... You know... Act. :p

Terrible movie, Terrible acting, Plot holes upon Plot holes, No Consistency whatsoever, Hayden Christensen.

All those are the markings of a disaster.

I thought it was an okay movie, but my wife absolutely loved it. She's a big super hero freak.

yeah, the idea of teleporting. Pretty cool idea, right? (Although for a couple of seconds, I thought he might help the people in the flood at the beginning of the movie)

PS. and I very much understand weird OCD things (have had many myself. I optimistically tell myself they add texture to life. Well, sometimes!)

okay, alright, now that you mention it, sure. . . But, they set up the premise at the very beginning, then you just stay with your premise, magic and all.

He's drowning and then he teleports to the library. He later learns that he can teleport to anywhere he intently visualizes.

How do you feel about at the end when she said he made his first jump at 2?

I think I remember seeing this movie...The plot didn't make much sense to me although it wasn't a bad watch. :)

the movie kind of lost me when he let his new girlfriend fly home from Rome when it was obvious that people were still chasing him. Or, he didn't realize his mistake and rush to save her and zap her out of there just as soon as possible.

It's okay for heroes to be kind of adrift and passive at the beginning, but once they get a cause, I want my movie heroes to be active.
