terminator fans: which film do you like better?

T2 was expensive and dazzling, but nowhere near as suspenseful as Terminator.


That's almost like asking 'New Hope' or 'Phantom Menace'?

t2 is nothing like the phantom menace. salvation, however, is.

I agree, T2 was a good film; no where near as appalling as Phantom Menace. The CGI and shiny dazzle of T2 is pretty tasteful by today's standards. However, the first film is far superior IMO.

I like T2 better. It has better action scenes, and it raises questions about humanity. I love T1, but it seems dated. Plus the CGI in T2 never overshadow the story or characters, unlike Cameron's newest film, Avatar. But the suspense in T1 is great. T3 is okay. Salvation sucks.

McG, the director of Terminator Salvation, said that the T-1000 will be reintroduced in the fifth film: "I like the idea and the perspective for the next picture that you meet Robert Patrick the way he looks today, and he's a scientist that's working on, you know, improving cell replication so we can stay healthier and we can cure diabetes and do all these things that sound like good ideas, and to once again live as idealized expressions as ourselves." He also said the origin story they had in mind for the T-1000 would satirize the world's "obsession" with youth and aging."

i like t 2 better cuz it takes t 1 and expands the story and is even more cutting edge my 2nd fave movie ever only under matrix 1

T2 was a lot better then T1

I love both, but T2 is superior.

what theme music do you guys like better? the first or second?

I prefer t1 there is more suspense.

T2, just because the plot is a lot more complicated, and the action is better. but i do love t1

I love Terminator 1 and 2 so much! 2 of my favorite films ever. The only problem is that I hate comparing them as it is like comparing Alien to Aliens as they are completely different films in terms of tone and execution.
