The theme of this thread is exactly as the title entails. List your favorite Christmas (or whatever you celebrate) movies of all time. :)

For me:

1. A Christmas Story
2. Elf
3. The Polar Express

Go ahead and post away! (if you like)

Home alone
Three wishes for Cinderella
Krakonoš a lyžníci (Krakonosh and the men on ski)
S tebou mě baví svět (I enjoy the world with you)

The last three are Czech movies.

Die Hard
National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation

And thats about it. I also have a hatred for A Christmas Story. Its a crappy movie and I don't understand the obsession some people have with it. There have been plenty of crappy Christmas movies, but you don't see them showing 24 hour marathons of Jingle All the Way do you? No, because its crappy.

I'm part Jewish, but since there aren't too many Hanukkah movies out there, I'll list my favorite Christmas movies, instead:
Elf
Dr. Seuss's How the Grinch Stole Christmas (both the movie and the animated TV special)
It's a Wonderful Life
Miracle on 34th Street (original version)
Scooge (the one with Alastair Sim; he was a terrific British actor, for those of you who are not familar)
Mickey's Christmas Carol
Frosty the Snowman (the first one, not the crappy sequel!)
Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer
Santa Claus is Comin' to Town
The Santa Clause trilogy
Santa Claus: The Movie (from the 80's; not to be confused with The Santa Clause)

"The shop around the corner" is a beautiful movie, with a lot of kind people and snow :)

I think Nightmare Before Christmas is the best Christmas movie.
