Sorry if this is duplication...I didn't scroll very far back into the archives.

Does anyone compare any of you to a character from television?

For my part, many people say I remind them of Spencer Reid from "Criminal Minds." My girlfriend compares me to Don Draper from "Mad Men," and my mother compares me to Detective Goren from "Law & Order: Criminal Intent."

I have been compared to Sheldon from The Big Bang Theory and Dexter from Dexter and Ahbed from Community more times than I can count... I don't much like being being referred to two textbook aspies and I absolutely hate being compared to a sociopathic serial killer...

8)

I always admired Goren a lot--CI isn't the same without him.

I have compared myself to Reg Barclay from STAR TREK: THE NEXT GENERATION.

Back when The Dark Knight was released my mom started to insinuate that I should be the next Joker. Kinda cheesy saying that especially since I just changed my avatar today and it's far from a new obsession for me. I also get the typical anyone-on-tv-who-is-smart-is-you, this includes Spock. Oh and Jessie from The Fast and the Furious.

I've been compared to Major Charles Emerson Winchester, III (from MASH), although I'm not sure why.

People think that you're cold, arrogant, and a perfectionist who doesn't care about the people around him?

At least that's the way most MASH fans I know talk about Major Winchester. I don't know you, so I can't agree or disagree.

I never saw him like that. I liked him better than Frank Burns--at least Charles was a competent surgeon.

Okay, maybe Major Winchester was a bit arrogant, but that was largely a coping mechanism. Later on, he showed himself to have more humanity than he wanted to let on. :)

Years ago, when I was talking to friend about history, a guy I knew compared me to Cliff Claven of Cheers. He didn't mean it as a compliment.

I've heard the Joker from the Dark Knight, Clark Kent, Egon Spengler, and Steve Urkel.
