No, not really. I just love those movies.

For the why, I can assure you that the soundtrack of that incriminated movie (by Cliff Martinez) is one of the exquisites that my HFA friend whose special interest is music loves to the extreme and I like too. I think the movie itself is average, not as bad as some think it is, none of Lem's film adaptations is really good.

Either Inception, Breakfast on Pluto, Heima or Ghost World.

1. Jesus' Son - It feels perfect and sad and sweet. I love it very very much. (also, I saw it in the theater with the family and friends of the woman who plays the nursing home administrator at the end and they all cheered when she came on screen and now every time I see her scenes I'm proud for her.

2. True Romance - because it's excellently quotable and just a really good movie.

3. Death Proof because badass chicks are never NOT awesome.

Actually everybody's favorite movie is "Brand Upon The Brain" by Guy Maddin. Even if they haven't seen it yet, it's their favorite movie. They may not know it. They may not want to know it, but it's their favorite movie.

The only Guy Maddin that I've seen is about 15 minutes of Dracula: Pages from a Virgin's Diary. That's all I could stand before shutting it off. I'm open to the idea of a bizarre filmed Dracula ballet, but this was like high school amateur s**t.

To each their own... That was the only vampire film I have actually liked... And I usually hate ballet.
