Is there an actor/actress that whenever you see them on TV or in a movie you think "It's them again," because they seem to be everywhere?

Before I knew his name it was Steve Buscemi for me. He's been in a few good movies (Pulp Fiction, Reservoir Dogs, Fargo, etc.) Good actor.

Sometimes I can't tell between Steve Buscemi and Chazz Palmenteri, because they are practically identical.

John C. McGinley. The first role of his with which I was really familiar (and the one most people are probably most familiar) was Dr. Cox on Scrubs. Since then, however, I started to notice how many really good movies he's been in since before the show's first season-- Wall Street, Platoon, Office Space, Se7en... and it never ceases to surprise me when I watch something, and suddenly it's like, "Oh my God. It's Dr. Cox!" XD

For me it's Toby Jones. He's been in Frost/Nixon, Doctor Who (latest series), The Painted veil, Amazing Grace and loads more.

I've only recently known his name, before he was always "that one out of that film"

That very guy, actually. He's one of those. I suppose the name for it is "character actor." Samuel Jackson for the longest time was that way, a lot of people including myself knew him when we saw him but couldn't recall the name. Another couple like that:

And a couple of actresses that did the same at some point for me:

I chose that last one because that was how she looked when she kept popping up in things for me. It's funny now to think how she looked then... I called her "bird girl" because that was what she reminded me of. I couldn't find out her name then... there was NO internet, zero. It's been a while. She looks almost like she wasn't ripe yet... She seemed to specialize in looking mildly confused. How she has improved!

I could also include Kate Winslet but I'm irritated with her... it seems like every movie she was in had her seeming sweet, with that angel's face of hers, and then doing at least one really raunchy thing that left me scarred for life... Well, it seemed like that for a while.

For me, it used to be Kevin Spacey - who'd I'd see in this or that character role, without ever really knowing his name - till he got famous.
