As we watch the spectacular descent of Charlie Sheen into...I'm not even sure that we can call it madness, unless they start pushing the boundaries of the definition. Anyway, Charlie Sheen, as he tumbles ever downwards to lows that have yet to be defined by humanity, has shown the world new standards in insanity.

http://au.tv.ign.com/articles/115/1153039p1.html

I believe, and I'll paraphrase Thomas Huxley here, that if reality and Charlie Sheen's brain ever came into contact, the outcome would be fatal. :?

EDIT: Okay, so some of it, Sheen has admitted to be BS. But seriously, who would say these things publicly and get away with looking sane?

CBS is already the most successful network in terms of ratings. Pulling the plug on "Two and a Half Men" is not going to kill them. And seriously I wish they just do it and end the madness for everyone!

Especially Jon Cryer and Angus T Jones. I'd imagine their faces'd be bruised from all the facepalming.

But it's a very good show. It's my favorite non-animated sitcom.

If it does get cancelled, I am going to miss the homoerotic overtones of the theme song most of all.

The New Yorker has put out a few cartoons with Charlie Sheen quotes as captions. Here's one of my favorites:

I wonder how long his two girlfriends will wait to call the ambulance when his heart blows up from a monster line of coke? I think they will give themselves enough time to fill their car trunks with whatever they can run off with not to mention what coke he has stashed away.

i don't know what it's called, but i suspect he has the same arrogant brain meme that afflicted the late actresses francis farmer and betty hutton. both of those actresses torpedoed their careers by their exaggerated senses of self-importance.

Charlie Sheen has reached Tom Cruise levels of insanity. I'm going to miss Two and a Half Men, even if it is only a half-hour long string of sex jokes and innuendos. :?

I've never watched Two and a Half Men, but I've got to say Charlie Sheen has lost it for sure. Who in their right mind insults their boss like that? Unless they were quitting perhaps. . .

mr. sheen doesn't understand that he is not high-ranking enough to get away with being impertinent to his superiors. he doesn't understand that he can always be replaced. anybody remember what happened to suzanne sommers on three's company?

I think it's called cocaine.

It's probably a mixture of cocaine, alcohol, ego, and some growing psychosis. I always thought that Charlie Harper acted like a sociopath most of the time on Two and a Half Men, but this is not sociopathy as much as just going cuckoo.

She was on Step by Step, and did the Thighmaster infomercials.

I do get her confused with Sally Struthers occasionally, though.

It's too easy to dismiss the fate of "Two and a Half Men" and Charlie Sheen at this point. Charlie has screwed up a number of times but, hopefully, things will settle down and return to normal and the show will return to its regular time as usual. If not, They he gets the blame for causing his co-stars for being out of work.

For now, it looks like he's starting to patch things up with his producers and cooling his heels at the moment.
