So what does everypony hope to see in Season 3? Personally I hope to see a Princess episode. I think the Princesses are some of the most attractive and interesting characters of the show and I would love to learn more about them. I have so many questions. Do Celestia and Luna have parents? How did they get their cutie marks? How did they first fight against Discord and gain control of the Elements of Harmony? How did they LOSE control of the Elements? How powerful are they truly (can they perfom regular tasks such as harvesting or weatherwork for example)? I also wonder about Cadence. Where does she come from? Why is she an alicorn Princess? Does she have other powers? Could she be as great as Celestia and Luna? Is she going to become a member of Celestia's court or does she rule some other place in Equestria? I'd just love to see some world-building and have some plot holes filled in (no pun intended).

I want more Luna. If they do more CMC episodes (which they probably will) they need one centering on Scootaloo. I would also like to see different places in Equestria, more adventure-like episodes, more villains, and of course more songs!

While that would be amazing and Derptastic, I fear it most likely won't happen because of the Derpy Incident.

They just need to go the while episode without saying her name!

Now there's an idea that could work. :)

Well, if there ever is a Derpy episode you can bet I'll be sitting there watching it and looking like this:

I love this show! :D Oh man, there's just so much to comment on...

Dude, Pinkie has zero cognitive empathy. Pinkie would be an aspie that could only exist in a world as tolerant as Ponyville.

OK, so its not strange that I like Pinkie Pie so much. She gave me an aspie vibe but most sterotype all Aspies as being super quiet.I was suprised when I got Pinkie on the pony personality test even though my freinds thought it was obvious. :D

Pinkie Pie is my absolute favorite. From the very first time I saw her, I thought, "Whoa. Her brain runs a mile a minute. She seems random to her friends, but it's clear that she's actually just going down a train of thought in her mind and they simply can't keep up. SHE'S LIKE ME!! !" Although I can't relate to her ultra love/dependence on parties, and I prefer to pretend that the whole "Pinkie Sense" crap never even happened (honestly, that was the most disappointing episode ever. I stopped watching for a couple weeks after that, until a Bronie friend told me I had to just get over it and keep watching.) Oh, but I so love her little quirks (like how she hops like Pepe Le Pew.) Pinkie Pie is just the best!

I hope for less Cutie Mark Crusaders... Sorry, they're cute and all, and I can easily imagine relating to them when I was around 10-11 (just wishing you could grow up already, despite everyone saying that puberty/cutie marks will come at their own pace & that you can't rush it), but I want to see more of the mane cast, please! I've especially liked the stories with Applejack so far. She's so down-to-Earth, and when she has issues (like needing to pay for Granny's hip, possibly losing the farm, etc) they're a lot more understandable than, say, Rarity almost throwing her friends under the bus on Twilight's birthday, just so she can hang out at a fancy party. (Sorry. It was a good lesson for the show and all, but I just don't like Rarity. I wouldn't hang out with someone like that.) I'd also love to hear more stories on the mythology and background of Equestria (like in Hearth's Warming Eve.)

I'm starting my research, but I could use some information from fellow MLP-FiM fans. If anybody is willing, could you answer some questions for me, such as:
1- How did you get into the show?
2- Why do you like the show?
3- Do you identify yourself as part of the brony community?
4-What do you think about said community?
5- And any other information you think is relevant.

(Numbered for convenience.)

1- About a year ago my boyfriend mentioned a phenomenon that he'd read about where lots of straight, sane, adult males were crazy about MLP:FIM. We knew next to nothing about the show except that, but it was enough to intrigue us to try watching it. Bf downloaded a few episodes and we started watching. I thought it was interesting at first, but after a few episodes, I found myself wanting to watch more. It was kind of like a slowly-built relationship, rather than love-at-first-sight. Now I'm hooked! Bf and I are currently waiting patiently through the season break...

2- The characters are fun, with rich personalities that have both strengths and weaknesses, the lessons at the end make sense, and there are a lot of little jokes that, if you're knowledgeable/alert enough for them, they will reward you time and again. There's also just the right amount of random humor that easily comes across as cute. There is no relying on hidden "adult humor" jokes, as many kids' shows/movies do in order to entertain the adult audience. (Not that I have a problem with hidden adult humor, but it seems that it's what most stories rely on in this day and age.)

3- Sort of yes, sort of no. I don't participate in the online Bronie community (this thread being a first for me.) However, I have a few real-life friends that are also Bronies, and we love to talk about it together. I've been tempted to write fan fiction, but I'm fairly certain that I wouldn't be able to come up with stories to match what I've heard about already (via those same friends. One is a pretty popular MLP:FIM fanfic author, so he tells me about a lot of them.)

4- I think it's great how people have taken this fictional world, immersed themselves into it, and really started molding it from the inside. Even more than that, I love how the show's creators reciprocate, by changing parts of the show to support said-community's work. It's like this symbiotic relationship with give-and-take, each party being further encouraged by the other's recognition.

5- No, I think that's it!

Wow--just finished reading the whole thing. That was one of the best stories I've ever read. :)

The backstory is very believable and you incorporated it into the canon events of the series very well. Nice!

Just one thing (maybe I missed this)--at one point, Derpy says she knows what her cutie mark means, but that was never brought up again. Was that left up to the readers to decide, or is it the rainbows/"spectrum" (very nice  ) that appear on bubbles' surfaces?

This would make a great episode. If nothing else, it should be a storybook that parents could read to their kids. There are many who could learn a lot from reading this.

Great job!

I guess I never did say what it was supposed...I meant for it to be symobollic of her destiny to become obssessed with aerodynamics, or being exceptionally well at observing things as they move through the air, or something along those lines. I got the idea from Ditzy's Dismally Derpy Day.
